I started blogging in September 2014, when I was 6 months pregnant. At first I was very hesitant to blog, because I am very private about my smoking habit. I do not disclose my smoking to anyone, including friends, family and co-workers. There are only a couple of individuals that know I smoke and are also my smoking buddy’s.
I quit smoking when I received my positive pregnancy test. However, throughout my pregnancy I always thought about smoking and felt as if I was missing something….missing a smoke in my daily routine. Blogging helped me to focus on something other than smoking an actual cigarette. Blogging helped me to gather my thoughts and drove my smoking instincts into self-evaluation and helped me to research smoking. I shared my research in my blogs, including the tobacco product, and the addictive components. Every time, I thought of smoking, I wrote a couple of words down for my blog. If you followed my blog posts in 2014, I evaluated and discussed my strengths and challenges of not smoking. I also interviewed my husband and wrote a letter to my unborn child.
Well, its January now, a new year…with a new baby. Do you think I have stayed smoke free? Do you think I have sneaked a smoke since the baby is born?
Please respond and give me your thoughts?
I will disclose my smoking decisions in my next blog.
