Hello everyone its Lucy again, in today’s blog I wish to talk to you about my top reasons why I want to quit smoking. We all have our own reasons to quit smoking and today is my lucky day that I am able to tell you about my top reasons. So let’s get this show on the road shall we?
Number One: My Children
When you smoke instead of playing with your children… It’s time to STOP
I know almost everyone who already has children or is currently pregnant says that their children is their main reason for quitting smoking, and I am no exception. When I finally made the decision to quit smoking it was mainly for my children. They are my inspiration, my guiding light and as I have told them many times they are each a part of my heart that exists outside my body. They make me want to be a better mother, wife, and human being. I want to be able to play with them at the park without getting winded or needing a break to go for a smoke. I want nothing more than to be able to give my girls piggy back rides or pretend to be their horse, galloping around with them giggling on my back.
Number Two: My Health
As I briefly stated in the point above, my lung capacity is not what it once was, I know that since I am almost twenty years older now than when I started smoking at the age of ten my health was bound to get worse as I aged, but I think that if I had not started smoking at all I could still be the athletic person I once was. I used to be able to swim the length (and back) of a pool at an arena, under water with one breath. But since I started smoking I could barely take the stairs two flights without getting winded. But since I joined a gym and cut back my smoking to quit completely I can now make it to floor six of eight without needing a rest. Quitting has been a very good thing for me as I now feel more energetic and healthier.
In my next post I’ll discuss my #3 and #4 reasons for why I want to quit.
Take care and good luck
