In my last post, I started describing the main reasons why I want to quit smoking, including the top two reasons my children and my health. This week I’m going to discuss my #3 and #4 reasons.
Number Three: My Family
My husband and my children are a huge factor in my quit smoking progress, when I told my children that I was quitting my oldest was so excited (the other two are too young to understand), she jumped up and down with joy, and squealed with happy giggly squeals. She made me feel proud about myself and made me think that I could really do it this time. My husband has been with me for several failed attempts at quitting smoking and at first he was hesitant but once he got on board he also made me feel like I could do it. But it’s not just about my husband and my girls, my in-laws are an amazing bunch of people who believe in me and that is all one could ever ask for.
They support me in every aspect of quitting and cheer me on. My side of the family is also very supportive, I am very glad that I have the amazing support network or family.
When you don’t spend time with your family… It’s time to STOP
Number Four: My Finances
Quitting smoking is not only beneficial for my health but also for my (or my husbands) wallet. Since I decided to quit smoking, and my husband hasn’t been buying me any we have saved some money each month which had aided us in attempting to move. It also leaves some money for a few extras like a movie night now and then which has been great for our marriage.
When you can’t afford it… It’s time to STOP
I have faith that I can do this, I also have faith that you can too!
“Oh I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm gonna try with a little help from my friends
Yes I get by with a little help from my friends
With a little help from my friends”
Take care and good luck.
